UK-Made Glass Juliet Balconies in Stainless Steel
A glass Juliet balcony lets you open upper-floor doors and windows fully, bringing in light and fresh air, with a safe, near-invisible barrier in place. It’s one of the simplest ways to get the feel of a balcony without building one.
We manufacture our Juliet balconies in the UK from stainless steel and toughened laminated glass. Choose from the four styles below, each supplied as a complete kit with glass and fixings, or talk to us about a made-to-measure system for non-standard openings.

How to Choose the Right Juliet Balcony
All four of our styles do the same job. They guard a door or window opening so it can be opened fully and safely. The differences are how the glass is held in place, how much metalwork you see and the look you want from outside.
Our Four Styles
Sienna: a frameless Juliet balcony with slim button fixings. The glass is held off the wall by slim 40mm satin stainless steel button fixings, with no frame, posts or handrail, so from outside you mostly see glass. It uses 17.5mm toughened laminated safety glass and comes in standard widths from 2100mm to 3200mm. This is the most minimal look in the range.
Milano: a glass button balcony and has the same frameless approach with larger 50mm stainless steel buttons, which make the fixings more of a visible design feature. It uses the same 17.5mm toughened laminated safety glass and the same standard widths. (Link “glass button Juliet balcony” to the Milano page.)
Venice: slim anodised aluminium profiles fixed vertically at each side of the opening hold the glass edges, giving a clean “infinity” look with no fixings on the face of the glass. It can be fixed into brick, timber, uPVC or metal frames, takes glass from 12mm to 21.5mm thick, and spans up to 2500mm wide. It has the lowest starting price in the range.
Florence: a 42.4mm satin stainless steel system with high-strength glass clamps and brackets holding a 10mm glass panel, supplied complete. It has more visible metalwork than the frameless styles, for a classic balconette look. Standard widths run from 1800mm to 2700mm.
Standard Kit or Made to Measure?
If your opening suits one of our standard widths, a kit is the quickest and most cost-effective option: order online and it’s delivered ready to fit. If your opening is an unusual size, or you want the metalwork to match your windows, every system can be made to bespoke sizes and powder coated in any colour, including popular choices like Anthracite Grey (RAL 7016) and Matt Black (RAL 9005). In most cases, you won’t need planning permission to install a Juliet balcony, which makes it a hassle-free way to upgrade your home. Their design typically avoids the need for extensive structural changes, simplifying the process.
A Juliet balcony acts as guarding against a fall, so it has to be the right height and strong enough to meet Building Regulations (Approved Document K in England). All four of our systems are 1100mm high, and our frameless Sienna and Milano systems use 17.5mm toughened laminated safety glass, designed to comply with Building Regulations. If you have a specific requirement, our team can give you technical advice before you order.
However, it’s always a good idea to check with your local authorities to ensure everything is in line with any specific regulations.
Measure the width of your door or window opening, taking it at the top, middle and bottom and using the smallest figure. Our face-fixed systems fix to the wall either side of the opening, so allow extra width for the brackets: add 300mm for the Sienna and Milano, or 400mm for the Florence. The Venice fixes into the sides of the opening itself. If you’re unsure which size you need, send us a photo and rough measurements and we’ll advise before you order.
